Movement is NEAT

Moving more throughout your day is a guaranteed way to improve your health. Researchers say that the more NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis) you get throughout the day, the healthier you become. Non-exercise activity is any movement you do that is not a planned workout routine. Standing two minutes for every thirty minutes you are seated, walking to a faraway parking spot, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking around when you are at home instead of sitting on the couch are all ways to improve your NEAT. Take the quiz below to see how much NEAT you get throughout the day.
